C&C Jewelry Mfg. Inc. recognizes that entities in the gems and jewelry sector are responsible for analyzing their potential vulnerabilities to money laundering and implementing the specific steps required for protection against abuse by criminals.

We ensure strict compliance to all applicable national and, where appropriate, international laws and regulations on money laundering, terrorism financing, bribery, facilitation of payments, corruption, smuggling, embezzlement, fraud, racketeering, transfer pricing and tax evasion.

C&C Jewelry Mfg. Inc. shall act in accordance with national laws and regulations with respect to auditing of its financial accounts and maintaining internal controls.

Compliance officers ensure all critical steps are taken to prevent money laundering, including but not limited to: KYC & KYS, identification of suspicious transactions, and any other applicable compliances.

Kimberley Process and System of Warranties

C&C Jewelry Mfg. Inc. is fully committed to complying with all the requirements specified in the Kimberley Process Certification Scheme and World Diamond Council’s (WDC) System of Warranties Declaration.

The diamonds herein invoiced have been purchased from legitimate sources not involved in funding conflict, in compliance with United Nations Resolutions and corresponding national laws. The seller hereby guarantees that these diamonds are conflict free and confirms adherence to the WDC SoW Guidelines.

The definition of ‘Conflict Gem Stone Diamonds’ as agreed upon by the Kimberley Process has been adopted, and declarations are received from suppliers and issued to all customers.
 

Anti-Bribery and Facilitation Payment Policy

C&C Jewelry Mfg. Inc. shall ensure the complete prohibition of bribery and facilitation of payments, across the organization and in all of its entities.

The company will not offer, accept or countenance any payment, gift, gift in kind, hospitality, expense or promise which may compromise fair competition.

Periodic training shall be carried out to educate on and keep employees aware of various types of bribery and facilitation payments.

Disclosure of Treated Diamonds, Synthetics and Stimulants

The following essential principles will be applicable in all transactions involving treated diamonds, synthetics and simulants.

Full disclosure, i.e., the complete and total release of all available information about a diamond and all material steps it has undergone prior to sale to the purchaser, irrespective of whether or not the information is specifically requested, and regardless of the effect on the value of the diamond.

No misuse of terminology, misrepresentations or attempts to disguise the product will be made in the selling, advertising and distribution of treated diamonds, synthetics and simulants.

The word ‘diamond’ will not be used in the case of names of firms, manufacturers or trademarks in connection with treated diamonds, diamond simulants or synthetic diamonds.

Maintaining compliance with MAP of De Beers throughout the entire supply chain to ensure the trust of retail customers. Note: when CZ or simulants are used in a product, the necessary declaration is provided upon invoice and is communicated verbally prior to execution of trade.

Gold Sourcing Policy

C&C Jewelry Mfg. Inc. is concerned about the environment and social impacts of irresponsible mining. At C&C Jewelry Mfg. Inc., we ensure that all our gold suppliers comply with gold sourcing guidelines.

Furthermore, we are committed to sourcing only gold and precious metals that comply with the highest social, human rights and environmental standards of trade, including standards stipulated by the Dodd-Frank Act and the Signet SRSP.
 

Supply Chain Management /Best Endeavors

The management of C&C Jewelry Mfg. Inc. is committed to using best endeavors, and to ensuring that all business partners and associated manufacturing units are in compliance with the same.

As an RJC Member, we commit to operating our business in accordance with the RJC Code of Practices. We commit to integrating ethical, human rights, social and environmental considerations into our day to day operations, business planning activities and decision making processes.

Synthetic Diamonds

C&C Jewelry Mfg. Inc. is committed to fighting against undisclosed synthetic diamonds. The following methodology has been adopted to prevent usage of undisclosed synthetic diamonds:

  • Maintaining access to effective detection systems.
  • Buying from trusted suppliers.
  • Reporting of undisclosed synthetics to suppliers and interested parties whenever detected.
  • Recording reported incidents of contamination and implementing suitable corrective and preventive measures for effective controls.
  • Classifying contamination of points into different categories (High, Medium & Low).
  • Identifying the policy, procedure and mechanisms to implement necessary testing within the organization.

The necessary declaration of compliance is obtained from the supply chain, and assurance is passed on to the customers with the printing of synthetic declarations on all of our invoices.

The current SRSP or DRSP invoice warranty statement will continue to suffice as certification that C&C Jewelry Mfg., Inc. is complying with all applicable policies in regards to Russia, because the SRSP is an evergreen protocol. The SRSP was designed to take into account changes in sourcing as they evolve over the years; this applies to current events. C&C Jewelry follows our existing practices and continues to comply with those of the SRSP, which now includes their new guidance.

By including the current SRSP or DRSP warranty statement, C&C Jewelry is certifying that no diamonds or precious metals of Russian origin purchased after February 24, 2022 are present in any Signet products.
